For Parents & Students

We are proud of the Arts Academy: our school and our students. We have developed both a demanding and nurturing environment, where parents, students, faculty and staff work together to do their best to sustain a strong, productive and safe school environment. As a member of the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts family, you will be part of a dynamic educational process that is challenging, exciting, and rewarding. To our students: this is truly an extraordinary artistic educational opportunity for you!

Academic courses are geared toward the artistic sensibilities of our aspiring artists. The curriculum is academically rigorous and commitment to serious study is expected of all students in all courses. Today's society requires artists to be educated citizens of the world. Our Math, Science, Social Studies, English and Spanish courses give our students the edge needed to succeed.

Parents, Friends, and Alumni Association (PFAA)

PFAA Logo Parents and alumni may participate in a very active Parents, Friends, and Alumni Association (PFAA). PFAA meetings are held monthly at the Arts Academy. PFAA members work together to enhance the visibility of the Arts Academy and to plan special events that generate revenue for the school, and to support the efforts of parents of artistically gifted students. To date, PFAA members have sponsored the annual orientation for incoming students, a college financial aid workshop for parents, a field trip to the Performing and Visual Arts College Fair in Boston, and annual fundraisers.
